Talon Shaw is the alpha of the black panthers living in Olive Branch, Mississippi when two of his pride are caught shifting which places the pride into the public arena creating a media circus.
Shifters live and work among humans so the last thing Talon needs is public scrutiny.
Talon admits to the press that he and his pride are shifters but no threat to humans. His admittance draws wrath from a neighboring werewolf pack who intend to make Talon pay.
The Deuce is a local bar and restaurant where the pride’s guardians hangout. Liberty Raines is the owner, and she’s full of spit and fire. Talon is drawn to her as well as his panther. His responsibility is to his pride, so his feelings toward the human wars against his role as leader.
This is the first book that I’ve read from the author, and I thoroughly enjoyed her narrative and look forward to reading the series.
